Two Galleria Kakku hunts until end of September, 2016
Galleria Kakku is currently participating in TWO hunts, which are running until end of September, 2016.
We are doing the wonderful Historical Hunts Gridwide Renaissance Hunt V1.
Pieni did the official ! TRH6 hunt gift and a gift for the historic hunts mini hunt. Check the links for information.
Here are images of the prizes.
Grid wide:
Mini:
We also did our own mini hunt on the side of the Gridwide Renaissance one. Ours is the first trial run of doing mini hunts during grid wide ones that allow it in their rules. Some different rules may occur, but plenty of fun is for certain! (This time in theme we had Renaissance in general, while the Grid Wide hunt was concentrated on Shakespeare).
Here is the mini hunt flag. Nearby you will find all the information you need. This is also what you will look for in our mini hunt, but in very small size.
Silas Merlin did an amazing original angel sculpture!
And our new artist Jessi/MC made an original piece of wall art.
(Thank you so much Silas and Jessi! Other artists will get the chance to participate next time, this was very last minute due to Pieni having real life complications and this being our first trial run).
Hints:
(TRH6 HINT Item:) "He said Be Great in Act As You Have Been In Thought". There is a gargoyle on the floor as a guide for direction and you are looking for a small gargoyle statue that looks like the hint one by their big sign at our landing.
(Galleria Kakku Mini hunt 1). "I think Shakespeare liked sending letters as much as Silas likes receiving them".
Galleria Kakku Mini hunt 2). "Jessi loves stories and Shakespeare wrote several that got bound in books".
A special hint since our gallery is big: Please remember to check the little signs telling you about our mini hunt artists for information on where to find their booth and what they are like as artists.
.......
Reminder: Special exhibit by Theda Tammas at Galleria Kakku, Luna Soliel, until end of September, 2016.

Suzume Zuki, Kayly Iali and Silas Merlin featured at Small World Art Gallery
Suzume Zuki recently joined Galleria Kakku and is now showcasing at a new gallery as well! She sent me the landmark and soon as I had a free moment I hopped over for a look. You may know her works from Art Walk, and her recent exhibit at Raglan Shire Tree Gallery. She has a gallery of her own by her store in Raglan Commons.
This new showcase of hers will not disappoint. I was glad to see such a sizable selection of her works.
Small World Art Gallery is owned and curated by Mikey Jefford. It had it's official opening on June 4th, 2016. There is plenty of space on land level and in the sky. You can find both 2D and 3D works of art.
The gallery has been already blogged by two big art bloggers Ziki Questi and Inara Pey, Questi being one of the featured artists herself.
I did find some other familiar names, too. Silas Merlin has a beautiful location for his art with a view out to the garden from one window and towards the sea from another. A new selection of his works always brings pleasant surprises. You can find both his sculptures and paintings here.
The industrial look of the gallery building really makes the earthy colors of the paintings by Kayly Iali pop. Plenty of light to show all the every day treasures she makes so inviting for us. She is constantly producing new works and I recommend you follow her real life blog to keep up to date.
Make sure to visit both the landlevel and the skybox galleries. And look around as some of the sculptures are on the grounds and around the public spaces.

Art Walk post Nr 4: Sculptures by Silas Merlin, Kicca Igaly, Nessuno Myoo
Silas Merlin has his sculptures up at Art Walk. I failed to mention this in the previous blog post. His piece called "Artist in a bubble" is available at Galleria Kakku, as well.
Kicca Igaly has been in SL since 2007, and I found her piece Soap Bubbles very interesting and clever. You could take pictures of it for quite a while and get very different looks. She has her own gallery in connection with those of Desy Magic and Nessuno Myoo, whose work is next to hers at Heron Shire.
These three galleries definitely deserve a closer, more detailed, look.

Third post about our Galleria Kakku artists featured at Art Walk: Silas Merlin and Uleria Caramel
This is the third post about our Galleria Kakku artists featured at Art Walk 2016. Two different artists on the same platform high up.
Silas Merlin has his own gallery at New Babbage and makes both 2D and 3D art. You definitely need to see his sculptures as well as his paintings. His works are amazing lifelike views into every day moments elevated by his appreciative eye. The selection he has at art walk also includes some of his clever fantasy themed images.
Uleria Caramel is showcasing some of her coal drawings, digital art and digital photo art both from last year and this one. She is offering a free gift by her info sign. Her art is available on Marketplace and in several galleries around the grid. She recently donated an original piece for a good cause, as you may remember from the blog post.
